7月27日至28日早上有兩個觀星活動，
活動
1
第一個是跟香港太空館合作，於7月27日晚上，在太空館舉辦觀賞活動，預計可吸引500人參觀，但由於要關館，活動至晚上10時許結束。
觀天會向市民免費「借鏡」

觀天會緊接在28日凌晨一時舉辦另一通宵觀星活動，市民可前往大美督小巴總站集合，步行15分鐘至船灣淡水湖主壩，屆時會有專人導賞，並借出天文望遠鏡供市民使用，透過目鏡，一般智能手機也可以拍得今次奇景留念，最重要是費用全免。可觀天文館天文統籌許浩強稱，正計劃於本月27日晚上11時至28日早上6時，在位於荃灣荃錦公路101號的天文館或其他地方舉辦活動，詳情稍後公布。麥理浩夫人度假村也有通宵觀賞活動，268個名額已報滿。
