I have seen reports from several third parties that lit services into many places in the Pacific NW (and region generally west and north of Denver) are down or flapping. The outages mailing list has some good info on this. From several sources, quoted: "Our Century Link/L3 ISUP trunks have been bouncing all night. Midwest here. All kinds of strange alarms last night. Things stabled out a bit during the early morning, Central Standard, and then bounced again around 8. Always good timing. Nothing but canned answers from CTL so far." "The lady who answered the phone for there NOC said that we are having a nation wide outage and we are unable to open tickets at this time. Please call be in 60-90 mins. She had no info on what was going on" " "Spoke to CenturyLink this morning about a downed 10G LAN PHY in WA, the guy I talked to said they had a major DWDM outage causing problems all over the west side of the country. Their own internal ticketing system is currently down, ControlCenter is unreachable from various locations on the west side, all kinds of problems. They were working with their DWDM vendor, weren't able to give me an ETR."" I was on hold for 30 minutes before they answered. They have no working ticketing system since this started and have been down since 3am PST they told me early on here.
